Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction

The Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction promotes sustainable responses to the technological, environmental, socioeconomic and cultural issues affecting building and construction.

Activities including Holcim Awards competitions, Holcim Forum symposiums, seed funding for building initiatives and grants for research projects encourage innovative approaches to sustainable construction.

The objective of the Holcim Foundation is the non-commercial promotion and development of sustainable construction at national, regional and global levels.

Jury meetings herald next stage in Holcim Awards
August 20, 2008 - The results of the Holcim Awards competition have moved a step closer following the jury meetings held in five regions of the world. From almost 2,000 submissions out of approximately 5,000 competition entries that met the formal requirements, each jury panel selected projects which meet the “target issues” for sustainable construction in the most compelling way.

July 9, 2008 - The International Union of Architects (UIA) and the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction seek to cooperate to inspire better sustainability performance in planning, architecture and building.
