Cary Siress is Professor of Architecture and Theory, School of Arts, Culture, and Environment, at the University of Edinburgh.
He also teaches urban theory as Visiting Professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Nanjing in China.
Following graduate studies at Columbia University in New York, he was involved in teaching at research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), where he completed his PhD, and as a visiting scholar at Tongji University in Shanghai.
He writes on global architecture and urbanization.
