Marta Malé-Alemany

Marta Malé-Alemany is a registered architect from Barcelona, a Co-Director of the Master Program at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona, Spain, and Course Master Tutor in the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London.

She studied architecture and architectural design at ETSAV-UPC in Barcelona, and holds a Master Degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York. She is currently a PhD candidate at the ETSAB-UPC in Barcelona, investigating the potential of large-scale rapid manufacturing technologies to innovate building construction.

Marta Malé-Alemany has taught architectural design in the United States and in Europe at institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and SCI-Arc.

She was a member of the Holcim Awards jury for region Europe in 2011.
