Holcim Grants for Sustainable Construction

Presentation of the first research grant funding by Rolf Soiron, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Holcim Foundation.

The Holcim Foundation Grants initiative provides seed funding for building initiatives and contributions for research projects to accelerate progress and promote sustainable construction.

To enable the appropriate review of any proposals submitted, requests for project or research grants must not be sent directly to the Holcim Foundation. See detailed submission process description below.

The Holcim Foundation provides USD 1 million per three year cycle to support PhD research in sustainable construction and the implementation of exemplary sustainable building construction projects beyond the Holcim Awards competition.

Project seed funding grants

Projects nominated for seed funding grants are evaluated according to the “target issues” for sustainable construction. To be considered for funding, the project must initially be endorsed by a Holcim Group company, which then recommends the project to the Holcim Foundation.

A list of contact details for all Holcim Group companies is available on the Holcim Ltd website.
