The Holcim Awards competition was open for entries from June 1, 2007 until February 29, 2008.

The competition celebrates innovative, future-oriented and tangible sustainable construction projects from around the globe and provides prize money of USD 2 million per three-year competition cycle.

The Holcim Awards (main category) competition showcases projects at an advanced stage of design with a high probability of execution. In addition, a “Next Generation” category features project visions at a conceptual level, early stage of design or with a low probability of execution by individuals and teams less than 35 years of age at February 29, 2008.
