Wowo Ding is Dean of the School of Architecture at Nanjing University, China.
She studied architecture at Nanjing Institute of Technology, China and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), and completed her doctorate at the ETH Zurich in 2001.
Wowo Ding was professor of architecture at Southeast University in Nanjing, China from 1986 to 2000. In 1994-96, she was a visiting assistant professor in the School of Architecture at the ETH Zurich. She then became professor of architecture at Nanjing University in 1996, becoming Vice Dean in 2000 and Dean in 2006.
She was awarded the “outstanding young teachers” prize by Southeast University and Nanjing University.
Her design in the project “Eastern and Western Market in Confucius Temple” won the first prize. She has also won the Nanjing outstanding design for the individual prize and the Jiangsu Provincial urban and rural planning and design award.
Wowo Ding was a member of the Holcim Awards jury for region Asia Pacific in 2008.
