Philippe Arto is President and CEO of St. Lawrence Cement Group since 2003.
He joined the Holcim Group in 1992, as General Manager Aggregates of Holcim’s French affiliate, and was then appointed General Manager French Market for Holcim France/Benelux. In 1999, he moved to Queensland Cement, the Australian subsidiary of Holcim, as Managing Director.
A civil engineer with a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University, Philippe Arto began his career in 1982 as a civil servant in France. In 1987, he entered the private sector with a Holcim competitor in a business development position, becoming General Manager of their prefabricated concrete division the following year.
