Step-by-step guide now available in Vietnamese


Update Holcim Awards competition for sustainable construction projects Zurich/Switzerland, January 4, 2008 – A Step-by-step guide to entering the Holcim Awards competition is now available in Vietnamese. Entries in the competition can be submitted until February 29, 2008 at www.holcimawards.org. The Step-by-step guide provides additional support for Vietnamese-speaking entrants, since the online entry form for the Holcim Awards may only be completed in English. The guide explains the requirements of each section of the online form and provides an overview of the “target issues” for sustainable construction. These so-called “target issues” measure the degree to which a building contributes to sustainable development, and set the scope for the evaluation of all entries by independent juries. The Awards are open to anyone involved with projects in the area of sustainable construction – architects, planners, engineers, or project owners. The prize money for the five regional competitions and the global awards totals USD two million.
