Brigitte Cuperus is Project Manager of the Technical Competence Center (TCC) of
the Holcim Foundation, based at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH
Zurich).
She studied languages and cultural anthropology and holds a
Bachelor of Arts, diploma course in translation from the Dolmetscherschule
Zürich (DOZ), Switzerland.
Brigitte Cuperus lived and worked for many
years in East Africa, Central America and South America in various positions
with international corporations and non-profit organizations.
She joined
ETH Zurich as Manager of the Alumni Association and Department of Civil,
Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG) in 2004. She is currently
Doctoral Studies Administrator (D-BAUG) in addition to her role as Project
Manager of the TCC.
She is deeply interested in the interface between
the corporate world and tertiary education, the economy, ecology and sustainable
construction.
Brigitte Cuperus has a strong personal interest, and a
family history through a dynasty of civil engineers over many generations, in
architecture, engineering and environmental preservation.
