The Holcim Awards is an international competition of the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction. The competition celebrates innovative, future-oriented and tangible sustainable construction projects from around the globe and provides prize money of USD 2 million per three-year competition cycle.
An objective of the Holcim Awards is to progressively generate a worldwide community of recognized practitioners of excellence in sustainable construction.
The Holcim Awards recognize any contribution to sustainable construction – irrespective of scale – in architecture, landscape and urban design, civil and mechanical engineering and related disciplines.
Entries in the current Holcim Awards competition closed on February 29, 2008. Independent regional juries will evaluate submissions in June-July 2008, and results of will be announced at five regional Awards ceremonies in September-November 2008.
