The Holcim Awards Global (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and Holcim Awards Middle East Africa (Gold, Silver, Bronze and Acknowledgement) prize winners were announced at an event held at the 17th international Biennale of Architecture in Venice, Italy. The winning projects from Cabo Verde, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine Uganda and Yemen had a local cultural basis and dealt with empowerment.
