His Masters thesis aids in the fundamental understanding and novel working with ecological knowledge to improve built environment planning and practice with an ecosystem service perspective to safeguard the foundations of human wellbeing. He is an alumni of the Oskar von Miller Forum, an independent education initiative of the Bavarian construction industry and former Sustainability Consultant at ARUP.

In 2020, Fricke co-founded the German Collaborative which represents the Living Building Challenge (LBC), the world’s most rigorous performance based green building standard. He is the German Ambassador for LBC and one of the first two Living Future Accredited professionals (LFA).

He was a selected scholar at the Norman Foster Foundation Cities: Affordable Housing Workshop 2022 supported by the Holcim Foundation.
