Established in 2003 by Holcim, the Holcim Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating sustainable construction worldwide.

Our vision is to influence how cities are built, renewed and cared for — advancing responsible development that integrates buildings, infrastructure and public space to create greener, healthier and more resilient places for growing populations.

Guided by this ambition, our mission is to support citymakers as change accelerators. We mobilise knowledge, partnerships and practice to scale integrated thinking into tangible impact — particularly where climate, social and economic pressures are most acute, and where stronger public–private collaboration can generate shared value.
