Arno Schlueter is also a Principal Investigator at the Singapore-ETH Future Cities Lab (FCL).

In his research, he and his interdisciplinary team focus on sustainable building systems, new adaptive components and their synergetic integration into architecture and urban design using computational approaches for modelling, analysis, and control.

Arno Schlueter studied architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and holds postgraduate degrees in CAAD and a PhD in building systems from ETH Zurich.

In 2010, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Architecture & Building Systems at ETH Zurich before being appointed Full Professor in 2014. In 2009, he co-founded the design and engineering office KEOTO.ch, where he is part of the management board.

The work of the Architecture & Building Systems group has been published in scientific journals, magazines and books and has won international competitions and prizes.

Arno Schlueter was a workshop presenter at the 6th International Holcim Forum for Sustainable Construction in Cairo, April 4-6, 2019.
