Jay Saldana is Principal Building Scientist at the Holcim building Envelope Division based in Nashville, TN, USA. Holcim Building Envelope incorporates several major building product brands in the Building Envelope arena including Elevate Roofing Systems (formally Firestone Building products), Gaco and SES spray foams, and Malarkey roofing shingles.

He studied civil engineering at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, USA, and began his career in engineering consulting in land development. He has worked for several key building component manufacturers in the building science role and developed new system solutions for both commercial and residential applications.
