Menghao Qin is Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Building Research, School of Architecture at Nanjing University in China. He is also a Guest Research Fellow at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), USA.

His recent research mainly focuses on the hygrothermal performance of air-conditioned buildings, solar integrated energy system for green buildings, and sustainable building design, especially for hot and humid climates. He teaches courses in HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning) system design and analysis; building environmental systems measurements, control, modeling and simulations; and, heat and mass transfer.

Menghao Qin has over 12 years of research and practical experience in Built Environmental Systems (BES). He studies heat, air and moisture transport in buildings; whole building energy simulation; energy efficient building design and intelligent control of building environmental systems.

Menghao Qin is a member of the editorial boards of Building and Environment, ASCE Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, Construction and Building Materials, and Building Research and Information.

He has authored/co-authored over 40 research papers. He has provided consultancy for many large construction projects including the new site of China Central Television (CCTV), and for firms including Panasonic, and East China Architectural Design and Research Institute Ltd. (ECADI).
