Deadline Extended: Holcim Foundation Fellowship in Brussels
Designing Incentives for Change: Brussels, Belgium – September 1-12, 2025
Last updated: May 14, 2025 Brussels, Belgium
The in-person intensive two-week course hosted by ETH Zurich and held in Brussels, Belgium seeks to foster a curiosity and solutions-driven mindset through a series of actions — open dialogue, consultation, exploration, and reflection — and to create a dynamic feedback loop that leads to transferable and scalable outcomes.
A diverse network of contributors—including &bogdan, Democo Group, noAarchitecten and 51N4E—with additional input from the Architects’ Council of Europe, Construction Products Europe and SHL (Schmidt Hammer Lassen), will guide selected Fellows through a collaborative process of experimentation, reflection, and applied practice grounded in real-world design challenges.
The Fellowship is open to individuals from a wide range of disciplines engaged in shaping the built environment. Fields of eligibility include Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Historic Preservation, Structural/Civil/Construction Engineering, Construction Management and Real Estate Development.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be from a recognised university in Europe in one of the eligible fields and either a:
- current final-year Master's student (expected to complete their studies by October 31, 2025), or
- recent Master's graduate (graduated no earlier than January 1, 2023).
