The first cycle of the Holcim Awards reached its finale in Bangkok, where 700 guests from over 50 countries gathered to see the global winners announced, chosen from more than 3,000 projects submitted worldwide.
Inside:
- Four winning projects, not three: the jury awarded two Gold prizes, going to a Caracas housing upgrade and a Stuttgart train station redesign, alongside Silver for Italy and Bronze for Canada
- Chairman Markus Akermann on the Foundation's plans beyond the Awards, including its research fund and the upcoming Holcim Forum in Shanghai
- A look inside the jury's deliberations, plus the excursion program that took guests to Bangkok's Grand Palace and its new airport
