In this era where more than half of the human population lives in cities, the way we grow the city is extremely important to determine our future. In this project for sustainable construction, we come out with a construction solution in the planning of a city in this tropical climate. Coming from the tropical region ourselves, we have a true feeling towards how the city grows in providing a better environment for a layman like us to become part of the city.

The way we grow the city today is by chopping off the existing trees and making open plazas without any consideration towards the scorching sunshine which is the major consideration in any form of construction in this tropical region. When the trees are planted like the way it is planted now in the urban environment, the blazing sun is the biggest enemy where the glare of the sun is coming from every direction not only the direct sunlight but also from the reflection of the surrounding building and heat radiation from the concrete flooring. These are the factors where we could see how the trees in our urban environment pathetically dying after all the efforts of transplanting them from the nursery.
