UCL London and ETH Zurich in Brussels will host two Fellowships for Europe in 2025

“Innovating Tomorrow’s Resilience” - London

“Innovating Tomorrow’s Resilience” will be hosted by University College London (July 21 – August 1, 2025). The course will explore the pressing need for innovation in future-proofing strategies in design and construction and be held in collaboration with partnering firms AL_A, BDP, Eckersley O’Callaghan, and Expedition Engineering. Applications are open until April 2.

“Designing Incentives for Change” - Brussels

“Designing Incentives for Change” hosted by ETH Zurich in Brussels (September 1-12) will explore strategies for renovating Europe’s existing built environment with an emphasis on sustainable development. Applications will open soon.

Fellowship Objectives

  • Expose current and recently graduated Masters students to realities of practice on building sites and the end-user’s experience – bridging the gaps between academia, the profession and society.
  • Foster the adoption of a humble posture of learning among professionals and students as a way to close the knowledge and execution gap.
  • Empower students by equipping them with the skills required to succeed as catalysts for industry transformation in their studies and future careers.
  • Support career development, continued learning, mentorship, and collaboration through future participation in Holcim Foundation international programs, events, and networking opportunities.
