Ameya Athavankar


Ameya Athavankar is a Design Consultant at the Shenoy Innovation Studio, Industrial Design Centre (IDC) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay).

He is part of a team working on developing affordable habitat solutions for rural and urban India. He also collaborates with architects and architectural design firms on a range of projects.

Ameya Athavankar graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT), Ahmedabad in 2008. His areas of interest include people watching, design innovation and affordable housing.

He was a Facilitator of the Mobile Workshop “Affordable habitat” at the 4th International Holcim Forum held in Mumbai in 2013.
