She started Almimariya Architects & Designers for Sustainable Development in 1998 and works on architectural, urban design and landscape projects within the perimeters of sustainable development and energy efficient construction. She has projects built in Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Hana S Alamuddin is a senior lecturer in sustainable development and construction at the American University of Beirut, and a Board Member of the Lebanon Green Building Council. He served as a technical reviewer for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for three consecutive cycles. (1998, 2001, 2004).

As a member of the executive committee of the Association Pour la Protection des Sites et Anciennes Demeures Liban (APSAD) (1999-2008), she worked on several heritage preservation projects in Lebanon and published several articles on the built environment.

She graduated with a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA in 1987. She completed her architectural degree from Greenwich University, United Kingdom in 1985. She lectures in sustainable development and construction at the American University of Beirut.
