Sandra Boivin is Head of the R&D Department for the Solutions & Products business segment at the Holcim Innovation Centre near Lyon, France and was member of the Holcim Foundation Awards 2025 jury for Europe.

She was also a member of the Holcim Foundation Awards 2020 jury for Asia Pacific and the Holcim Foundation Awards 2023 jury for Europe.

Sandra Boivin is Head of the R&D Department for the Solutions & Products business segment at the Holcim Innovation Center near Lyon, France, focusing on carbon reduction in the built environment.

She also develops additional opportunities of open innovation with a start-up accelerator program (Holcim Accelerator).

Sandra Boivin has held various roles at Holcim in research and development, and marketing/sales functions.

She holds an Engineer’s Degree, Civil Engineering from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Lyon, France (1992), a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan (1994), and a PhD in Structures and Materials from the École des Ponts ParisTech (1999).
