Rafi Lahbabi is Co-founder and Pedagogical Director of the Ecole Supérieure d’Architecture et de Paysage de Casablanca (EAC), Morocco.
He directs the design and management of teaching programs as well as the coordination of research within the school.
He studied architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble (ENSAG) and obtained a PhD in urban sciences from the Université Grenoble-Alpes (France).
Rafi Lahbabi was Central Director of Urban Planning at the Moroccan Ministry of Housing. As an independent architect, he carried out numerous architectural and urban design projects.
He also worked at the Community Design & Environment Division of City Hall in Ottawa, Canada, and is co-author of Architectures Régionales du Rif marocain (Regional Architecture in the Rif Mountains).
Since 2004, he has devoted himself entirely to teaching and research at the EAC.
Rafi Lahbabi was a member of the Holcim Awards jury for region Middle East Africa in 2011.
