Achilles Ahimbisibwe, Transsolar Academy (TSA) fellow (2018) based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Achilles Ahimbisibwe was a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Uganda Martyrs University for six years. He was also a research assistant engaged in the Supporting African Municipalities in Sustainable Energy Transitions (SAMSET) and Energy & Low-Income Tropical Housing (ELITH) projects.

He participated in assessing local construction materials in Machakos, Kenya as well as Rwinkwavu, Rwanda under the Joint Development of Courses for Energy Efficiently & Sustainable Housing in Africa (JENGA).

He has experience engaging local communities, sensitizing people and informing policies at different levels on issues concerning sustainable technologies and construction practices.

Achilles Ahimbisibwe was a workshop expert and presented his rammed earth project at the 6th International Holcim Forum for Sustainable Construction in Cairo, April 4-6, 2019.
