Brigitte Cuperus is former Academic Committee (AC) Project Manager and Awards Juries Coordinator at the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction.

Brigitte Cuperus was based at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). She joined ETH Zurich as Manager of the Alumni Association and Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG) in 2004. She was also Doctoral Studies Administrator (D-BAUG) in addition to her engagement for the Holcim Foundation.

Brigitte Cuperus studied languages and cultural anthropology, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (diploma course in translation) from the Dolmetscherschule Zürich (DOZ), Switzerland.

She lived and worked for many years in East Africa, Central America and South America in various positions with international corporations and non-profit organizations.

Brigitte Cuperus is deeply interested in the interface between the corporate world and tertiary education, the economy, ecology and sustainable construction. She has a strong personal interest, and a family history through a dynasty of civil engineers over many generations, in architecture, engineering and environmental preservation.

She held the position of Academic Committee (AC) Project Manager and Awards Juries Coordinator at the Holcim Foundation until her retirement in June 2015.
