Chanasit Cholasuek is Co-Founder of stu/D/O Architects, located in Bangkok, Thailand.
stu/D/O focus on architecture, urbanism, and sustainable design. Created in 2010, the studio-s approach is to consider the layers of physical and cultural distinctness at each site to invent new possibilities for the buildings’ function, context, and space, while integrating passive sustainable design in every process.
He obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (2003) and a Master of Architecture concentrating on sustainable environmental design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), London (2010).
He worked for Architects 49 in his early career. His study of sustainable low-income housing in Bangkok was published in Green Design: From Theory to Practice (edited by Ken Yeang, Black Dog Architecture, 2011) and The Architects’ Journal.
Buildings designed by stu/D/O include the new headquarters for InterCrop and MacroCare Office in Bangkok, serviced apartments in Sukhumvit 26 and 27, Wyndham Hotel in Bangkok, Novotel Hotel in Cebu, and several private residences across Thailand.
Chanasit Cholasuek was a member of the LafargeHolcim Awards jury for region Asia Pacific in 2020.
