Georges Teyssot
About
Georges Teyssot is a Full Professor in the School of Architecture at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada.
He has also taught architecture at Princeton University, USA, Istituto Universitario di Architettura of Venice (IUAV), Italy, and the ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
He holds a PhD on the history of architecture from IUAV (1971). His publications have been translated into twelve languages and include Interior Landscape (1988); Die Krankheit des Domizils (Rizzoli, 1988); Wohnen und Wohnbau, 1800-1930 (Wiesbaden, 1989); The History of Garden Design (Thames & Hudson, 1991, 2000); The American Lawn (1999); Les maisons oniriques (Hermann, 2013) on Walter Benjamin; and A Topology of Everyday Constellations (MIT Press, 2013), of which he edited the French version Une topologie du quotidien (Presses polytechniques et universitaire romandes, 2016).
Georges Teyssot was a workshop expert on space and comfort at the 5th International LafargeHolcim Forum for Sustainable Construction dedicated to “Infrastructure Space” held April 7-9, 2016 in Detroit, USA.
