With 200 engineers and technicians from more than 20 nationalities the Holcim Research Centre (LCR) in Lyon, France creates innovative solutions to address the needs of the construction industry.
Amongst its recent products, the LCR has developed and patented Airium™, a mineral insulating foam that improves energy efficiency for buildings, from floor to ceiling.
Prior to this, Heike Faulhammer was Director of the Arkema’s Global Research & Development Center in Lacq, France.
She spent 20 years in research, production, product innovation-related functions and sustainable development at Arkema – one of France’s leading chemicals producers.
She graduated from the University of Freiburg, Germany and holds a PhD in Chemistry.
Heike Faulhammer participated in the 3rd Holcim Roundtable on “Re-materializing Construction” at the Institute for Lightweight Structures & Conceptual Design (ILEK), University of Stuttgart, Germany in March 2018.
