Philippe Arto is former CEO of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), based in Bangkok, Thailand. He was CEO from January 2009 until December 2013.

Philippe Arto is former CEO of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), based in Bangkok, Thailand. He was CEO from January 2009 until December 2013.

He joined the Holcim Group in 1992, as General Manager Aggregates of Holcim’s French affiliate, and was subsequently appointed General Director for the French market in 2002. After a year as CEO of Queensland Cement (now Cement Australia) from 2002, he was appointed CEO of St Lawrence Cement (now Holcim Canada) until the end of 2008.

Philippe Arto holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées with a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University.

He began his career in 1982 as a civil servant in France. In 1987, he entered the private sector with a Holcim competitor in a business development position, becoming General Manager of their prefabricated concrete division the following year.

Philippe Arto was a member of the Holcim Awards jury for region North America in 2008.
