Rozana Montiel teaches at the School of Architecture, Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA).
She is also the Founder and Director of Periférica, an architectural practice committed to design and urban research.
She studied architecture at the UIA and Politécnico de Catalunya in Barcelona.
In 2009 she received a Conaculta National Artists program grant. Her research with Arturo Ortiz Struck, Sustainability in poor areas: Chimalhuacan informal squatter settlements in the context of the local and global discourses, was supported by the Holcim Foundation in 2007.
